Whitchurch Community Helpers
Are you in need of some help at this unsettling time? Would it be useful to have someone to run errands for you? Are you vulnerable to COVID-19 and shielding at home? Do you know someone who is in isolation or unwell who could do with a little help?
We have a team of volunteers scattered around the village and outskirts who will keep in regular contact with households to support them with what they need such as:
- Collecting prescriptions
- Providing meals
- Delivering shopping
- Dropping off a paper
- And much more…
Together we will get through this. Stay safe and well.
A number of village shops have remained open to help you get essential items.
- Parrott Brothers (Tuesday-Friday 8:30am-4pm; Saturday 7:30am-12:30pm)
- Post Office (9am-1pm Mon-Fri) at the Garage
- Costcutter (8.00am-6.00pm) at the Garage
- Pharmacy hours at the doctors’ surgery (9am – 1pm Mon – Fri). Please don’t forget that you can email prescription requests direct to the pharmacy.
